Bayou Movers, a reputable moving company, is seeking qualified individuals to join our team as Moving Helper. As part of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth and efficient moving services for our clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Helper/Mover Duties:

• Assist the Foreman in executing moving plans.
• Load and unload furniture and belongings with attention to detail.
• Safely transport items to and from the moving truck.
• Pack and unpack items in accordance with company standards.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure a seamless moving process.
• Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with clients.

REQUIREMENTS:

Helper/Mover:

• Previous experience in moving or physical labor roles preferred.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.
• Detail-oriented and able to follow directions accurately.
• Team player with a positive attitude.
• Good communication skills.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or equivalent. Additional certifications in moving or related fields are a plus.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

As a Moving Helper at Bayou Movers, you'll work alongside our Foreman on job sites across Houston — carrying, wrapping, loading, and unloading in neighborhoods like Memorial, Katy, Midtown, and Sugar Land. It's physical work and the hours vary by job. Busy days run longer; weekdays tend to be steadier. You'll be on a consistent crew — not a different team every day.

This role is the starting point for a moving career at Bayou Movers. Helpers who show up reliably, work carefully, and treat customers well move up to Lead Mover and eventually Foreman. We promote from within and prefer to develop people who already know how we work.
